5 Rhode Island Wedding Venues I Love as a Destination Wedding Photographer
Above all else, I’m a lover of weddings that feel easy for my couples. I know that wedding planning can bring a lot of stress, and believe me, I’ve seen how that stress can creep in and negatively impact your day! That’s why I keep a list of wedding venues that make things simple. I want you to be able to sit back, relax, and actually enjoy your wedding, not worry about if you’re behind schedule or where your caterer is. And these Rhode Island wedding venues? They make that happen.
Belle Mer
Newport wedding venue Belle Mer is where beachy meets luxury. This one is more gorgeous than I can even express in words, with tons of indoor and outdoor venue options that each feel effortlessly elegant! My personal favorite spots here are the waterfront lawn (an unforgettable ceremony spot) and the Water Salon (a soft white indoor reception area).
Here’s an overview of everything you need to know about the venue, at a glance:
There are spaces in the Rhode Island wedding venue that can hold from just 30 guests all the way to 1,000 guests, so you have the opportunity to host a wedding here that’s as intimate or as large as you want!
They offer a beach wedding ceremony (and private beach access) for couples who want the coastal feel to the max! As a destination wedding photographer, know that I’ll always whisk you away for beach sunset photos.
While there are no on-site accommodations for you or your guests, the venue does have getting-ready rooms on site (and nearby hotels!), which makes it easy to keep everything in one spot, all day long.
Belle Mer offers all-inclusive packages that include everything you could need, from catering and bar to service staff on-site! This takes so much pressure off of you and allows you to stay fully present in your day, and I love that.
A wedding at Belle Mer is for couples who want luxury. Belle Mer brings elegance without trying, so you’ll get that feel of class without feeling overly polished or stuffy, which is the perfect balance! Getting ready on site then seamlessly transitioning to a first look on the beach, portraits, and then a beach ceremony is always full of bliss and joy. And then getting to dance all night with basically everyone you know? The dream!
OceanCliff Hotel
Seaside ceremonies, open-air decks, and villa vibes make OceanCliff Hotel feel like you’re stepping out of Rhode Island right into nineteenth century Europe, and I couldn’t love it more. Weddings here feel calm and intimate, because the property feels like it’s all for you! Here are a few key things to know about the Rhode Island wedding venue:
OceanCliff Hotel can hold up to 200 guests, which is that perfect amount where you’re able to invite all of your favorite people and actually get to talk to them.
There are options for waterfront wedding ceremonies and open-air tented receptions, and no matter where you hold the events of your day, it’ll be absolutely stunning!
There are accommodations on-site, with 24 stylized rooms as lodging options. I always recommend staying at the hotel, because it keeps everything seamless.
There are all-inclusive package options for your wedding that cover catering, and believe me when I say that the food? Absolutely delicious!

Regatta Place
Okay, Regatta Place… It’s something special. A private harbor with waterfront views makes this Rhode Island wedding venue feel straight out of a magazine! One of my favorite parts about this one is that you have the option of renting a boat and going for a sunset cruise with guests. Whether it’s for your rehearsal dinner or your wedding itself, it’s truly unforgettable!
Here are all the other details you need to plan the perfect day at Regatta Place:
It can hold up to 200 guests in fully outdoor or open-air tented settings that range from boat docks to harborside decks. With everything being outside, it gives you the opportunity for that gentle Rhode Island breeze (that, as a destination wedding photographer, I can never get enough of).
There are no on-site accommodations, but there are spaces made to get ready at the venue!
All-inclusive package options are amazing here, covering everything from food and drinks to coordination services!
Regatta Place is unmatched for couples who want something different and elevated. Because how many people can actually say that they had an intimate sunset dinner cruise on their wedding night after saying “I do?!”
Glen Manor House
Last but absolutely not least, the Glen Manor House is one that I’m in love with. It’s grand, romantic, and it’s bringing old-world castle energy in the best way! Weddings here are classy without trying, and always beautiful, no matter where on the property they’re held.
It can hold up to 175 guests, making it a truly intimate setting for you to just enjoy the company of your favorite people in the world.
There are indoor and outdoor venue options that range from a polished French lawn to an indoor grand ballroom!
If you’re worried about it being less coastal and going without Rhode Island waterfront views… Don’t! They have a private boat dock that we can use for photos, and sunset portraits here are actually amazing.
Glen Manor House is another Rhode Island wedding venue that makes it easy to plan. With in-house catering and rental services, you basically have all the big stuff covered for you!
If you’re dreaming of a charming, ballroom-esque, European-inspired wedding day… Glen Manor House is the one for you. Weddings here feel polished and regal without having that awful feeling of, “I can’t exist normally because I’ll break everything.” And honestly? That’s everything I want for you!
