Some of my favorite weddings to photograph here aren't the ones with the most elaborate details. They're the ones where everyone settles in, the timeline isn't running the entire day, and my couples have the freedom to laugh, hug their people, drink their cocktails, and just... Get married!

There are so many reasons to love South Shore wedding venues. They really lean into the relaxed, coastal vibes, and believe me… That makes a wedding day feel really incredible.
Something I pay a lot of attention to as a photographer is how easily everyone can move through a venue. Can you get ready, have your ceremony, enjoy cocktail hour, and get to your reception without spending half the day in a car? Are there good portrait locations nearby so I don't need to steal you away from your guests forever?
Those little logistical things might not be the most exciting part of venue shopping, but trust me, they make SUCH a difference when your actual wedding day gets here.

Waverly Oaks is one of those wedding venues that feels elegant without trying. It has a ballroom that overlooks the rolling golf courses (and it gets the BEST sunsets), and it’s one of those venues that just flows really easily between settings. Timelines are always smooth here because there’s a separate area for each part of your day, and that’s the kind of ease that I’m obsessed with for my couples.
One of the main reasons I love weddings here is because of how it photographs. Every corner of this South Shore wedding venue looks like something out of a magazine, and the kind of shots I can get of you guys running on the golf course at golden hour? I’ll never be over them!

Okay, okay. If you’re already scribbling down all the info about this one… I have to tell you that it just keeps getting better. Because the way that weddings feel here is seriously incredible. Everyone is laughing, the service is incredible, and you feel connected all day long, even after the sun sets and you’re drinking wine on a string-lit dance floor.
Sapphire Estate works especially well for weddings that prioritize connection. Some of my favorite moments here are the ones where you’re chatting with your childhood best friend at your cocktail hour. When you’re holding hands at your sweetheart table (and not because you’re posing for a photo). When your grandma is hugging you tight before she leaves for the night. And, honestly, a venue being able to hold lived-in moments this well makes for some of the best, most meaningful photos.
Overall, this one is best for intimate-feeling connection within a traditional wedding structure.

The Villa? It’s chic.

Weddings here always feel thoughtful. The venue is elevated, so any design works well here, and the kind of hospitality that you get in their all-inclusive packages feels well thought-out and makes you AND your guests feel considered, all the way from getting-ready to your send-off!
The Villa is perfect for couples who care about modern design but don't want the experience to feel overly curated. You get everything pretty much taken care of for you in a way that makes you feel relaxed all the way through wedding planning. And never having to take yourself out of the day to worry about what's next on the timeline? Love that.
One true standout of the venue, from the perspective of a Massachusetts wedding photographer, is the Spanish-style architecture. It’s an incredible backdrop for editorial couples portraits, and then there’s a soft, smooth transition to tears during toasts and dance floor chaos under the lit-up tent. And that kind of variety makes my photographer heart SO happy.
The River Club
The River Club has all of my favorite things: beach access, insane sunsets, and tons of flexibility to fit any kind of wedding day. Oh… And it’s seriously stunning. It’s best on the list for laid-back couples who want coastal energy and a party.

When I think of weddings at The River Club, I picture an outdoor summer ceremony with the waves sparkling behind you, a cocktail hour that has the BEST relaxed, coastal energy, and receptions where your dad had enough to drink that he’s out on the dance floor with you all night long.
If you’re the kind of couple who wants your wedding to feel totally elegant, but in an understated way… The River Club is the best for that. It’s perfect for simple weddings (because, I mean, the venue kind of does all the work for you) that are more focused on a good time than anything else. And if you’re the kind of couple who would rather be out on the beach than performing for 200 of your closest friends, this is kind of that sweet spot for you.

I know nobody wants to imagine rain while venue shopping, but PLEASE look at the rain plan. You shouldn't have to love it quite as much as Plan A, but you should at least be happy getting married there if New England weather decides to do New England weather things.
